Mission Statement

To build, manage, and maintain a local indoor ice arena that promotes the development of youth hockey and supports other youth organizations, as well as promotes area economic and social development.
 

WE CAN BUILD IT!

The Becker - Big Lake Ice Association is steadily moving forward with plans to build an Ice Arena. This goal will be achieved with the active participation and support of all.

BBLIA closed on the purchase of land in Big Lake for the purpose of constructing our own ice arena. The land is located just off of Hwy 10 in the Dynamics development. Individuals interested and willing to help with the Ice Association, please contact Chris Stalpes (), or any of the Ice Board members if you have questions or would like to get involved.

Thursday November 29th the Ice Association placed its advertising and donation sign on its five acre site in the Big Lake Market Place to kick off the general pledge drive.

Ice Arena Campaign to Local Government

As Hockey parents and concerned citizens of our communities we need to contact our representatives at all levels of government and express the importance of hockey and what an ice arena can provide for our community. Now is the time to write a letter or pick up the phone and let our local leaders know how much we care. We are looking for two representatives to get involved with the Chamber of Commerce in both Big Lake and Becker.  We need to get involved with area businesses and get the word out that we need donations, etc.  Again, come to the meetings to get involved.
