Red Line
Dan , from Red Line Hockey presented to the group his companys clinics available to BBL this August before our Evaluations. Brochures and time schedules were distributed describing the format of the week-long clinics, geared to get skaters ready. In order to hold these clinics, 22 players at each level need to participate. Mike and other coaches will contact their players to explain the program and encourage their participation. Deadline for registration is July 15.
DryLand and Skills Clinics
Mike Gonrowski reported that due to lack of interest/registrations, he has canceled these clinics.
Schedule for 2004-2005 Season
" Registration will be the last weekend in August, weekend after Labor Day weekend (same as clinics).
" Evaluations set for Sept 17, 18, 19, 20
Evaluation Committee
Mark Muench, Lee Sweney, Mark Chamernick (HS coach), Mike Gonrowski, Rich Reed and Chris Nelson will serve on the Evaluation Committee. They will set the criteria to be used by the outside evaluators during the evaluations. Plans may include separate goalie evaluations.
District 10
John Gilbertson reported on the topics of the last District 10 meeting. Included review of the season; Squirts will have to use the Blue Pucks next season; district wants quality coaches not quantity of coaches; next meeting in September; Initial Declaration will be September 13 with Final Declaration October 4 (tentative).
Fundraisers - Coupon Books
Deb Levens reported no new info to report.
Fundraisers One Time Gambling License
Tim Hayes is working on obtaining this in July for use with the planned calendar fundraiser (see below).
Fundraisers - Calendar
Regulations state that deposits can be obtained for the calendars members take to sellcannot be payments. Plan to sell them for $20 each. Deb Levens is waiting to receive more details from Tim Hayes. Jill Downs is checking on the different cost structures of producing 1,000 or 1,500 calendars. Also looking at selling advertising on the calendars for additional revenue.
Fundraisers Car Wash
To be held Saturday, August 7 at the Big Lake Coborns parking lot area. Need volunteers! Contact Tammie.
Fundraisers McDonalds Meats
Scheduled to sell brats and pork chops outside of McDonalds Meats in Clear Lake on June 4-5. Sign up sheet was passed around and some slots were filled. Additional volunteers still needed
Fundraisers - Becker Centennial Freedom Day
In addition to a float in the Saturday, June 19 parade, BBL will also have a Snow Cone stand at the festivities. Fee for the machine is being donated. Need volunteers for games and snow cone booth
Fundraisers Dodge Drives Minnesota
Expect to receive our check in September for those members who test-drove a new Dodge vehicle. Each member who test drove a vehicle raised $20 for the association. Again this year there was poor participation in this fundraiser. Dodge may or may not offer this promotion next year.

Equipment - Tim was not present/Johna will contact him to see if hes interested in continuing and if not she and Dave will take over. Get all equipment to them for inventory check. Comment was made that Chris Nelson needs to get the Zamboni that is still at Mike Buckleys work in to the storage in Palmer.
Arena Sub Committee Report Lois was not present
Johna reported that Lois Pegg had contacted Rollie Oliver before she was able to. Lois wasnt able to attend Mondays meeting on the land acquisition for the arena. Johna will check with Lois to have her invite Rollie to attend Mondays meeting.
St. Michael vs. Becker Day
John Gilbertson reported that District 10 will not allow us to cross District lines so we will be unable to host this event.
Mini-Mite Subsidy tabled.
Ice Bills
Chris Noponen will be telephoning those accounts, which are very delinquent.
Goalies
Comment had been previously made that there may be separate goalie evaluations. Question was raised regarding this since there are not enough goalies. Proposal was made for discussion that 1 goalie per team would be allowed to play for free or at a discounted price in order to generate more goalies. Comment was also made that we need to get skaters interested in being goalies. Tabled for further discussion.
