Because the meeting room was not available for our use, a very informal meeting was held with those present in the parking lot. No formal Agenda was followed.
Parade Float
Brenda Graber requested a $400 budget for expenses for the construction of the BBL float entry for the Becker and Big Lake parades. Awarded. Chris Nelson will contact Cindy at Becker Community Center to verify float entry in Becker parade; Brenda Graber will verify entry in Big Lake parade.
Dodge Drives Minnesota
For each member who test-drove a new Dodge vehicle $20 was raised for the association from the Dodge Drives Minnesota fundraising promotion. BBL raised only $240. Another very poor turn out from our association!
Evaluation Committee
The Committee has met and has set the scoring chart, evaluation criteria and will complete the process of getting evaluators. They will present their recommendations to the Board for its approval.
Special Board Meeting & Agenda Items
The Boards will gather on Sunday, July 11 at 4 pm at Jill Downs for a special meeting to go other the evaluation process, registration details and dates, job descriptions of positions, budget for upcoming year, and delinquent/payment method for upcoming season.
General Membership Meeting Canceled
Due to the July 4 holiday and lack of agenda items, the general membership meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, July 1, was canceled. Next meeting will be the first Thursday of August, August 5.
Treasurers Report
Chelle reported there was $5,723.83 in open invoices to date. Most of the certified letters that had been sent to those delinquent accounts had been received (we received notification of their delivery). Checkbook balance of $8,384.85 (see attached report). She reported that BBL won their recent court appearance since there was no-show on the delinquent party involved. Discussion was held and motion made That a $100 stipend be paid to BBL representatives whenever they must take off from their regular jobs in order to complete official association business. S/p
Sno Cruisers Donation
Chris Nelson reported that he was in possession of, completed the necessary donation form request and mailed the form to the Sno Cruisers today.
Pre-Payment of Ice Bill Request
Lisa Ramerth will send a postcard to each association member reminding them of the June 15 deadline for pre-paying on their 2004/2005 ice bills in order to raise the $25,000 needed for the land acquisition.
Registration
Discussion was held and dates for registration for the 2004/2005 season were set:
" Saturday, August 28 from 9-1 pm at the Big Lake Lions Park (Lisa will set this up)
" Registration forms and instructions to be mailed back to the Registration Coordinator will be available on the association website for those returning members.
" New families can attend the Registration Night at the Becker Community Center on September 9 from 5-7 pm (prior to the regular association general membership meeting)
" After or during school Open Houses, if permissible.
Pancake Breakfast
Jill Downs reported that she has set up the next association Pancake Breakfast for Sunday, September 26 at the Big Lake Legion from 9-1 pm (we are not able to get in before 8 am).
Calendar Fundraiser
Information is still being gathered on costs from a number of printers. Calendars will be ready and distributed to members at the Mandatory Parent Meeting at the October 7 association meeting. Plan is for each membership is responsible to buy and sell 10 calendars at $20/each.
Wreath Fundraiser
Jill Downs has been looking into a possible wreath fundraiser. Has found that most do not sell wholesale. She will continue to investigate and report back.
Board portion of the meeting ended at 7 pm so that the general membership meeting could be held.

Ice Bill Fee Schedule
Discussion continued on the policy beginning with the 2004/2005 season for the payment of ice bills. Recommendation was made that registration fees are due at Registration; ice fees will be roughly calculated and will be due in three equal payments to be paid on October 1, November 1 and December 1. Any skater will an unpaid ice bill on December 15 will no longer be able to skate until account is paid in full. Motion: To accept the above stated policy concerning ice bills for the 2004/2005 season. S/p
Golf Tournament
Rollie Oliver presented his plans for a golf tournament at the Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minnesota on June 29 beginning at 1 pm. He stated that the goal of this tournament is to raise money to build a hockey arena in the Becker-Big Lake area. All proceeds from this tournament will go towards the arena project. Team signup deadline of June 21.
Location of Future General Meetings
Brenda Graber will contact the Becker Community Center so that the monthly association meetings can be held in one of the meeting rooms available there.
Next meeting
Announcement was made that there will be no general membership meeting in July. The next meeting will be held Thursday, August 5 at 7 pm at the Becker Community Center.
